Discovering Chaplin

Hello everyone!

I’m back and the blog will return to normal (hopefully) tomorrow. We had a fantastic trip, which ended way too soon. I’m anxious to return to life as I knew it before I left, although it is a difficult transition after so much time away. But I’m sure in a couple of days, it will be as though I never left.

Thanks so much for your loyalty to this blog, and most of all, your friendship.

Much love,

  1. out of habit, I checked the site every morning – only to stare at Chaplin arriving in Seattle. I am happy you have returned as well!

  2. Thanks everyone. It was a fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime trip. America is a big and beautiful place, and we saw many extraordinary sights. But it was nice to get home and sleep in my own bed. Living out of a suitcase gets old after a while too. Ironically, we traveled through many of the same cities Charlie visited during his Karno years in America, such as St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Denver, Billings, Seattle, etc. I especially thought of him during our stop in Butte, MT, and remembered how he saw gunplay in the streets and thought the red-light district had the prettiest women in the West.
